Hôtel Villa KOEGUI Bayonne

Great location in Petite Bayonne, short walk to train station and just across a bridge to Grand Bayonne (but the central part of the city is not large anyway). Exquisite interior design featuring art work, a very successful renovation of apparently an old building.

Excellent location Nice reception staff Available paid parking off site approx 2 blocks away in uncovered lot; Room was modern, clean and well decorated. The best unexpected feature - their restaurant where the food was amazing! Initially we strolled to dine outside but were surrounded by “tourist trap” restaurants. We didn’t want to take the risk of crappy food so we googled and read the fine reviews of the dining place at the hotel. We went back and were pleasantly surprised at not only how good the food was, but also the great ambiance of the place. Most of all, there was a remarkable jazz pianist playing jazz standards and nostalgic broadway tunes!

We arrived by bike, but the room wasn't ready as we were early. The bikes were securely stored without issue, and given a complimentary drink while we waited. This is a boutique style hotel by the river. All staff were very pleasant and we had an enjoyable stay with a great selection for breakfast. We opted for a better room when booking and this was excellent - large with great sized shower and separate toilet. It was quiet, despite being in the centre of Bayonne, with a small balcony. We were able to enjoy a quiet drink when getting back to the hotel after dinner in the covered outdoor area and enjoyed a great breakfast the following morning. The staff were very attentive, we never had to 'catch someone's eye'.

New, clean, comfortable, and well designed hotel. The pride in the construction and design of the hotel was evident. Nicely placed art in the halls. Color scheme of the room and the furniture were aesthetically pleasing. The bed was firm and super comfortable. Room was quiet. We really enjoyed our stay.

This modern small boutique hotel is in a good location for train or self driving travelers, quick walk over the main bridge to train station or to where the town center has many shops, restaurants or groceries. Inside the hotel the lobby, bar and restaurant are on the ground floor with open spaces. Our room on the 5th floor is super clean with nice toiletries and a good shower. We had a quick breakfast, coffee, croissant and orange juice for a very reasonable price in early morning before heading to train station. Yes, I would recommended this nice hotel for visitors.
